United Flight Diverted to Ohio After Passenger Makes Threats

An airport spokesman said a commercial flight bound for Washington, D.C., was diverted to Ohio on Thursday after a passenger made threatening comments on board. United Flight 3342, which departed from St. Louis, Missouri, landed in Columbus on Thursday morning. Dave Whittaker, a spokesman for Port Columbus International Airport, said the flight diverted there because of reports from the flight crew of an unruly passenger making threatening comments. NBC affiliate WCMH in Ohio reported that the incident delayed some other flights from landing.
