18.07.2018
Protesters rallied against the government’s plans to increase Russian citizens' retirement age, in Moscow and Novosibirsk on Wednesday.
The authorised protests took place at Moscow’s Sokolniki Park and Novosibirsk’s Ordzhonikidze street.
The demonstrators are opposed to a plan to increase the retirement age from 60 to 65 by 2028 for men and from 55 to 63 for women by 2034.
The State Duma is scheduled to hold its first reading of the newly proposed legislation on July 19.
