Syria: UN-led aid delivery arrives in besieged city of Al-Rastan

The United Nations with the assistance of the Syrian government and the Red Cross delivered a large shipment of humanitarian aid to the city of Al-Rastan in the Homs Governorate on Thursday.
Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Firas Al-Khateeb said: “We are working to ensure that this assistance continues to be delivered.”
The delivery included food, medicine, power generators and a treatment facility for obtaining drinking water. The International Committee of the Red Cross oversaw the collection of the provisions which according to local reports was the first delivery of aid to the city this year.
