A federal appeals court in Chicago has overturned some of Rod Blagojevich's convictions for his Senate seat shenanigans.
Though not all of his corruption counts were overturned, the 7th. U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed five counts not related to money.
The three judge panel examined where the line between legal and illegal political dealing lies.
They decided that in attempt to earn a Cabinet seat, the former Illinois governor crossed the legal-line when he sought to sell a Senate seat for campaign finances.
The fact he tried to use the Senate seat as a means to gain a Cabinet position, however, is not illegal.
Blagojevich floated the idea of a Cabinet job in exchange for appointing Obama friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett to Obama's vacant Senate seat.
