Russia: Putin outlines goals to boost entrepreneurship in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined goals for the development of business in Russia over the next five years during a State Council meeting in Moscow, Tuesday. He stressed the need "to create a significant share of small and medium sized businesses in the economy" as well as new jobs. During the meeting, council members discussed development opportunities for small and middle-sized businesses in Russia. The council considered improving the efficiency of state support for small businesses, as well as tax and legal regulations. Amongst those present were the Minister of Economic Development Sergei Ulyukaev, the head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov and the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.
