France: Petrol stations run dry as fuel shortages hit southern France

Drivers queued up on the roads outside service stations, near Montpellier in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, Tuesday, as fuel shortages continue to limit supply to consumers.
Some petrol stations have been forced to close due to the shortages, which are the result of strikes at France's oil refineries. The limited amount of fuel diminished further as people began to stock up in preparation for the strike.
Around 2,200 stations are out of fuel, amounting to 20 percent of all gas stations in France.
