Germany: Purrriceless! World's most expensive cat stuns Leipzig's Dogs & Cats Fair

The most expensive cat in the world was presented at Leipzig's Dogs and Cats Fair on Saturday. Bella, a Savannah cat, won the breeds competition, "she could have been sold for €47,000 to €60,000 (Around $53,000 to $68,000). But the cat remains mine," said owner Angela Hoenig.
Savannah cats are a cross between a domestic cat and the Serval, a wild African cat. Hoenig explained that there were "special rules" she had to follow owning one, "we have to register at the German nature conservation authority and veterinary control department."
The 'Felidae Cat Club e.V.' is the only organisation that allows the breed to compete due to its wildness.
