Light was shed on the new adaptation of Philip Pullman's cult fantasy book series 'His Dark Materials' by executive producer Jane Tranter, writer Jack Thorne and cast members during a panel at the 2019 Comic Con in San Diego, on Friday.
'His Dark Materials' is an upcoming big-budget HBO/BBC British fantasy adventure series starring James McAvoy, Jack Thorne, Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who were all present on the panel to unveil information to their fans.
''The great thing about this show, is that it gives us all hope that we can imagine the world, or indeed any world, the way we want them to be, if we do what Jack says, which is, be good,'' JD Heyman said, describing the show during the panel.
This year Comic-Con International at San Diego Convention Center runs everything from screenings, cosplay contests and panels with artists and showrunners during its four day event and has already attracted over 5,000 fantasy, sci-fi and superhero fans.
