Germany: HDP party condemns 'dirty deal' between EU and Turkey

Co-chair of the Turkish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Figen Yuksekdag slammed relations between EU and Turkey as a "a product of a dirty deal", in an exclusive interview with RT in Ludwigshafen, Sunday.
The "dirty deal" refers to a €6 billion ($6.7 billion) agreement struck between Turkey and the EU, in which refugees are sent to Turkey if their claim for asylum in the EU is rejected. Yuksekdag explained that in return, the EU "will turn a blind eye in fact what is happening in Turkey", a country where "people cannot speak the truth". She went on to say that " we cannot accept this self-styled EU civilization", which is involved in "human trafficking".
More than 400 people have been deported to Turkey since the deal came into effect in March. Along with pledging 6 billion euros ($6.8 billion) to aid refugees in Turkey, the scheme is expected to speed up the country's accession to the EU.
