France: Police unleash tear gas and water cannon on fans during Euros final

Police unleashed tear gas and water cannons on football fans outside the Paris fan zone during the 2016 Euro final, Sunday.
Clashes erupted after police closed down the fan zone due to overcrowding. The standoff between police and fans continued throughout the first half of the match.
The Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France kicked off at 21:00 local time (19:00 GMT) at the Stade de France, in Saint Denis, Sunday. The fan zone was reportedly shut down after reaching its maximum capacity of 90,000 an hour prior to the match.
