Norway: 'It was horrible'- eyewitness recounts hijacked ambulance ramming attack in Oslo

SOT, Charlotte, Eyewitness (Norwegian): "The first thing that happened, was that I came home to make some lunch, then I heard lots of sirens on the street outside. I am used to hearing lots of sirens, because there is a fire station close to our street. But then I heard shooting and I ran to the window. First I could not see anything, but then there was more shooting and I went to the living room window, and then I saw the ambulance. It was driving fast and erratically. The ambulance crashed into my house and a man came towards it and he was shooting. I ran to the bathroom, and five minutes later I came back. Then there was police all over the place and they started blocking the area. They handcuffed the perpetrator and put him into another ambulance and drove him to the hospital."

SOT, Charlotte, Eyewitness (Norwegian): "Yes, it [bag of weapons] was on the passenger seat. The window on that side was shot to pieces, that is where the perpetrator sat. All the stuff on the ground was taken out from the ambulance. There was a big bag with two big guns and four ordinary weapons. He was also shooting with a small gun." *MULTIPLE SHOTS AT SOURCE*

SOT, Charlotte, Eyewitness (Norwegian): "It was really horrible. First I thought that it had happened in another place...like Bjolsen [Oslo neighbourhood], because there [such] things happen often. Because of the fire station I am used to sirens. There is a lot happening in this neighborhood, because there is a main street close by. But that something [like this] could happen here, and when I saw the ambulance turn around the corner, driving erratically, I didn't film that. Just right after the crash, and when the man crossed the street and shot at the ambulance."

SCRIPT
An eyewitness named Charlotte recounted the events of an attack that injured several people after, according to police reports, an armed man hijacked an ambulance and rammed it into pedestrians in Oslo, on Tuesday.
"The first thing that happened was that I came home to make some lunch, then I heard lots of sirens on the street outside. I am used to hearing lots of sirens because there is a fire station close to our street. But then I heard shooting and I ran to the window. First I could not see anything, but then there was more shooting and I went to the living room window, and then I saw the ambulance," said Charlotte, who lives above the scene where the ambulance crashed.
She also recounted seeing a "big bag" of weapons on the ambulance driver's seat. Charlotte also saw the perpetrator shooting with a "small gun" before being apprehended by police.
Footage filmed on Tuesday also shows the ambulance crashed into a wall and a heavy police presence in the area.
Several people, including two infants, were injured after the hijacked vehicle hit an elderly couple and a mother with twins in a stroller. The children were taken to hospital where they are receiving medical treatment, media reports say.
The police arrested the assailant after firing shots and wounding him. According to the police, the attacker was not critically injured.
