A California safety administration has cited SeaWorld San Diego for failing to train workers to safely interact with killer whales. The Division of Occupational Safety and Health, known as Cal/OSHA, issued four citations to the theme park (carrying a total of $25,770 in fines) for not making employees aware of potential hazards with the animals. SeaWorld plans to appeal, saying the citations show a "fundamental misunderstanding" of what's needed to safely care for orcas.
