Protesters set-up highly realistic balloons of G7 leaders in the resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Sunday in the hope of attracting attenton to global poverty and inequality. With the balloons meant to reflect the "hot air" of the G7 leaders, the action was organised by the NGO 'ONE' and was held in close proximity to the hotel where the global leaders are based. The G7 is comprised of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States, with European Union officials also in attendance. With this round of talks led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the group are expected to focus their discussions on the global economy, climate change and the ongoing crisis in Ukraine as well as the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and the wider Middle East.
