Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders held a rally in Miami, Florida, Tuesday, calling for his supporters to turn out in huge numbers for the Florida primary next week on March 15.
The rally was held at the James L. Knight Centre in downtown Miami on the same night that the Michigan and Mississippi primaries take place.
Sanders stated that "what this campaign is about is doing something very radical, we are telling the American people the truth," adding "to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg, this is a campaign of the people, by the people and for the people."
The latest results in the Michigan and Mississippi primaries put Bernie Sanders ahead by a small margin in Michigan, receiving over 50 percent of the vote with fellow Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton picking up around 48 percent. In Mississippi, Clinton demolished Sanders, picking up around 83 percent of the vote, with Sanders receiving just over 16 percent.
