More than 1000 people took to the streets of Athens, Thursday, to rally in support of refugees and against United States and European Union interference in Syria. Protesters rallied through the Greek capital holding banners and chanting slogans against the EU and the US for their involvement in Syria and their attitude towards the armed conflict that has been going on for four years now. They also vowed their support for the refugees arriving in Europe. The march stopped in front of the EU offices and the US embassy in Athens. A large police presence was deployed in order to prevent clashes and no incidents were reported.
