Russia: Night Wolves bikers depart Moscow for Berlin Victory ride

Members of the Russian Night Wolves Motorcycle Club began their ride to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Victory over Nazi Germany, in Moscow on Saturday. The bikers intend to stop at several locations during their journey, as they follow a path taken by the Red Army during World War II. They plan to pass through Minsk, Brest, Wroclaw, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich, Prague, Torgau and Karlshorst, before arriving in Berlin on May 9, where they will take part in an event to commemorate the Red Army's victory in World War II. Head of the Night Wolves Alexander "Surgeon" Zaldostanov said in Moscow, Friday, that the group will still attempt to cross the Polish border, despite being officially banned from entering the country by Polish authorities.
