18 GOP Members Draw Line in Planned Parenthood Fight

Eighteen House Republicans say that they will not support any government spending bill that provides taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood, potentially increasing the risk of a government shutdown battle this fall.
The threat to withhold government funding ups the ante on the renewed effort by Republicans on Capitol Hill to defund the women’s health organization in light of a series of sting videos aiming to show that Planned Parenthood is profiting from the sale of fetal tissue and organs.
The government will need to be funded again when its fiscal year ends on Sept. 30th. The Senate is expected to vote Monday on a bill to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood.
