Pope Francis came to view the Shroud of Turin, the burial linen many believe to have covered the body of Jesus Christ, during a trip to Turin's cathedral, Sunday. The Pope sat in front of the 4.3-metre (14-foot) cloth, bowing his head, and finally crossing himself before leaving the northern Italian cathedral. The shroud, which sceptics have criticised for being a forgery, went on display on April 19, and will be on show until June 24.
