Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hilary Clinton celebrated victory on the final night of state primaries, during a rally in Brooklyn on Tuesday. The former first lady's supporters were in a jubilant mood after Clinton picked up victories New Jersey, South Dakota and New Mexico essentially cementing her position as the Democratic presidential candidate.
Clinton praised her rival Bernie Sanders, stating the debates his campaign instigated "have been very good for the Democratic Party and for America." Sanders, who has not counted himself out of the running, took victories in Montana and North Dakota. The results of the Californian primary are still pending.
The former Secretary of State also took the opportunity to attack presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, labelling him "temperamentally unfit to be President."
To repeated cheers, Clinton stated the upcoming election is "about millions of Americans coming together to say: we are better than this, we won't let this happen in America."
Clinton currently leads the primaries with 2,497 delegates, while Sanders lags behind with 1,663.
