The Mount Sinabung volcano in North Sumatra, Indonesia, erupted on Thursday, leaving thousands to evacuate and seek new shelter into Friday. Sinabung, one of approximately 130 active volcanoes in Indonesia, has been spewing ash reaching heights up to 2,300 feet (700 metres) for around a week. Sinabung last erupted in 2014, killing at least 17 people.
