SOT, Carsten Senz, Head of Corporate Communications for Huawei Technologies Germany (German): "We have been present at many political conferences in Germany for many years already. I believe it’s very important to have a dialogue with German politics. It is also very important to talk to each other, not only about each other, and especially have an exchange of technical information with each other."

The exclusion of a single company "will never enhance the security of (5G) networks," head of corporate Communications for Chinese tech giant Huawei said at the convention of Germany's Social Democrats (SPD) in Berlin on Saturday.
The remarks were made as discussions over Huawei's potential involvement in the development of Germany's 5G network continue inside and outside Germany.
"We are here and want to be part of the debate, and mainly we want to return the discussion to a factual level,'' Carsten Senz stated.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that individual vendors should not be prevented from taking part in the development of Germany's 5G network from the outset but called for high security standards. Senior lawmakers within her coalition have nevertheless called for an outright ban on Huawei.
The US has blacklisted the Chinese multinational over suspected ties to the Chinese state, allegations that Huawei rejects.
