Thousands of Mexican teachers and education workers marched through Mexico city, Wednesday, to protest against a new education reform law that many protesters claim will be used as a Trojan house for mass layoffs. Protesters, organised by the largest teacher's union in Mexico the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE), marched towards the Revolution Monument in Mexico city - holding banners and chanting against the new reform law and compulsory teacher evaluations. On Tuesday, a number of union (CNTE) members were arrested during similar protests in the Mexican state of Oaxaca.
