USA: Bernie Sanders woos voters in Iowa

Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders continued his campaign around Iowa attending the Jasper County Town meeting at Newton High School in Iowa, Saturday. Talking for nearly two hours, Sanders addressed issues such as education, healthcare, and immigration. Regarding the new energies, Sanders said that US should work with China, Russia, India and other countries around the world to transform "our energy system away from fossil fuel to energy efficiency and sustainable energy". The meeting took place in an auditorium with around 500 people attending. Bernie Sanders answered to the questions of the people, who have asked him about his plans regarding the country's education system. He stated that, according to his views, "it makes infinity more sense to invest in jobs and education rather than jails and incarceration". Earlier on Saturday, US Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders addressed the Latino Heritage Festival in Des Moines, Iowa, calling for widespread change in the nation's immigration policies and reform that would enable undocumented migrants to become full-fledged citizens.
