World Jewish Population Reaching Pre-Holocaust Level

An Israeli think tank estimates that the size of the Jewish population worldwide is approaching figures similar to where it stood before the Holocaust.
In its annual report to the Israeli Cabinet, presented Sunday, the Jewish People Policy Institute said that the world's Jewish population now stands at 14.2 million.
When accounting for people who identify as partially Jewish, as well as those with one Jewish parent, the number is closer to 16.5 million. According to the Associated Press, that number is the same as the size of the world's Jewish population at the outbreak of World War II in 1939.
