Greece: Refugees continue to flow into Idomeni camp despite border closure

Buses provided by UNHCR were leaving the Idomeni refugee camp en route to Thessaloniki on Friday, as part of the relocation program. Large groups of refugees are moving in both directions; refugees are leaving the Idomeni refugee camp, tired of waiting too long in inhumane conditions, and there are refugees arriving at the camp in hope to cross over to Macedonia, despite the country's closed borders.
Many of the refugees stopped at petrol stations along the way for rest, where organisations such as Doctors Without Borders and UNCHR provided them with support.
Doctors Without Borders counted 60 refugees arriving at a petrol station close to Polikastro, 17 km away from Idomeni refugee camp on Friday morning alone. These refugees were on their way the camp.
