About 1,500 supporters of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party marched through Dresden, Thursday, rallying against the German government's refugee policy, which one activist called a "problem" that won't be managed despite promises to do so by Chancellor Angela Merkel. The AfD supporters marched for about 2km (1.2mi) carrying placards against refugees and Berlin's policies. The participants chanted slogans, reportedly claiming that immigrants and refugees would cause "chaos." There was a large police presence on hand and no incidents were recorded by local authorities as the rally remained peaceful.
