Italy: Death toll in Amatrice rises to 247 as non-stop rescue op continues

Drone footage captured the full-scale overnight rescue operation by Italy's emergency service crews in the earthquake-devastated town of Amatrice, Thursday.
At the time of writing, 247 bodies were reportedly discovered in Amatrice alone. More than 500 people have been reported injured, with victims in critical conditions being brought to hospitals in Rome. An additional number of 2,500 people are displaced.
The earthquake struck at around 3:33 am local time (01:33 GMT) on Wednesday, and was felt across the central Italy, including in the capital Rome some 126km (76 miles) away from the quake's epicentre, in the town of Norcia.
