Call of Duty isn't just coming to the newer consoles this year.
When Black Ops III arrives on Nov. 6, it'll be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That's in addition to the previously confirmed PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release platforms, which were announced in late April with the game. No Wii U version; it's confirmed.
The release on older hardware comes with a few concessions. Black Ops III supports four-player cooperative play throughout the campaign, but the PS3 and 360 releases cut that number down to two.
Activision also notes that the current-gen versions of the game include "features and functionality" that aren't supported by older machines.
