General John F. Campbell, the commander of the Resolute Support Mission and United States Forces in Afghanistan, discussed the deadly airstrike on a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, during a press conference in Arlington, Monday. "I've ordered a thorough investigation into this tragic incident, and the investigation is ongoing. The Afghans have ordered the same. If errors were committed, we will acknowledge them. We'll hold those responsible accountable, and we will take steps to ensure those mistakes are not repeated," Campbell stated. Twenty-two people were killed, including twelve Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) medical staff, after a US airstrike hit a hospital in the city of Kunduz, Saturday,. At the time of the airstrike more than 105 patients were in the trauma hospital, along with more than 80 local and international medical staff.
