Long-range jet-airliner Airbus 350 XWB, glided over the crowd at Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, Tuesday. The display comes a day after the French based company sealed deals worth $8 billion (€7 billion) order for 50 planes from Saudi Arabian Airlines, and a $6.4 billion (€5.6 billion) order for 60 by GE Capital Aviation. Developed by European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the jetliner's wings are made primarily of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, and can carry up to 366 passengers. Paris Air Show showcases the latest in aircraft manufacturing, aerospace technology, civil aviation equipment, along with weapons and military equipment for air defense units. The oldest airshow in the world, it has been held annually since 1909. The event will run until June 21 and showcase 2,215 exhibitors from more than 46 countries.
