Deputy Defence Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Eduard Basurin said he saw up to "30 hits of high-explosive missiles" when he went to examine the recently shelled village of Krasniy Oktyabr, Telmanovo, Donetsk region, Thursday. No one was killed or wounded in the shelling, though local resident Ekaterina Beloglazova said she feared for her life after seeing her ducklings "killed by shrapnel." This is the second time the area has been shelled. On June 4 a four-year-old boy was killed and four others injured as a result of artillery fire. Reports indicated that the young child was in a playground when the shelling began and was fatally struck by shrapnel from a shell. According to OSCE observers, the Minsk agreements have continuously been violated, particularly in the area surrounding Donetsk airport. The latest figures released by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights indicate that the death toll in the country now stands at over 6,400.
