29.02.2016
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz slammed his opponent Donald Trump for his failure to denounce the Ku Klux Klan, speaking to press at a campaign rally in Oklahoma City, Sunday.
Cruz said that it was "unfortunate" that Trump "declined to denounce the KKK", adding, "particularly when layered upon the fact that white nationalist groups were doing robo-calls, urging people to vote for Donald Trump." Cruz's comment comes after Trump refused to reject endorsement from former KKK leader David Duke after being pressed over the issue during an interview with CNN.
Hundreds of people attended Cruz's campaign rally at the Bricktown Events Center, where the candidate made his case for why voters should support him on 'Super Tuesday'.
'Super Tuesday' is the biggest day of the 2016 primary season and will see 13 states take to the polls to pledge their support for the Republican leader of their choice.
