SOT, Dmitry Orlov, Russian defender (Russian): "We won and that's the main thing. Of course it's not an easy life for the Italian team on the tournament as they are struggling to score their first goal. As for us, we tried to stay concentrated, not relaxed, as the game may turn in a different way at every moment. Anyway victory means victory. I think we need to prepare for next matches as they will be more important. We continue preparations for [the] quarterfinal and we all know what our only goal is. It's great that the guys managed to score and get points tonight. I hope in the next match they will feel even more confident."

SOT, Clayton Beddoes, Italian head coach: "Not really happy how maybe passive we were at some times, but at the same time we could score a couple of goals. That was a positive push by these guys to see again that when they make a push, when they play the right way, they can score goals, they can make some offensive tries. In the end there are still surprises in this game - the last ten minutes I was very happy with. I know it's ten nothing and maybe Russia was obviously not making as much of the push as they would normally. Having said that, the guys [Italian players] did not give up, they made a push, they tried right to the end, and for that it's a positive step to the next game."
