Austria: Security heightened in Vienna for P5+1 nuclear talks

Security was heightened outside the Palais Coburg in Vienna on Monday, as foreign ministers meet for ongoing P5+1 Iran nuclear talks. Negotiators from Russia, China, France, Germany, the UK, US and Iran started to re-convene in Vienna last week to try and reach a final agreement on the nuclear deal in the hope of ending a decade-long standoff between the West and Iran. According to remarks made by Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday, negotiators were “not yet where we need to be” and the negotiations “could go either way.” The initial deadline of June 30 was shelved, with all parties agreeing on the new date of July 7.
