Pentagon Report Shows US Spends $9m a Day Fighting Islamic State

A recently released spending report from the Pentagon shows the US spends more than $9 million a day on the war against the Islamic State. Since it began last August it has poured $2.7 billion into the bombing campaign.The report shows that two-thirds of the total bill has gone to the Air Force. An international coalition has been conducting air strikes in both Iraq and Syria. The Pentagon's release comes as Congress rejected legislation banning further spending.
