Two people died when a suspension bridge over the Tarn River collapsed in the French city of Mirepoix-sur-Tarn, 30km (19 miles) north of Toulouse, on Monday.
According to reports, one car and one truck were caught in the disaster. Footage shows rescue workers sailing on Tarn River looking for the other passengers of the vehicles. Police officers are seen cordoning off streets in the area.
Toulouse Prosecutor Dominique Alzeari said one of the victims was a 15 year old girl, while Eric Oget, mayor of Mirepoix-sur-Tarn, announced the truck driver had also died and nobody else was missing. Bystanders were able to save the mother of the deceased teenager, who was driving the car.
