The towns of Budrio and Genoa were hit by heavy floods on Wednesday after strong winds and rain continued to lash northern and central Italy.
Footage shows firefighters working in flooded roads and evacuating residents after the river Idice broke its banks on Sunday, flooding residential areas and the surrounding countryside.
The central region of Emilia Romagna remains under 'yellow warning' for thunderstorms after water levels rose in major rivers and hundreds of residents had to leave their homes.
