President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping welcomed visiting Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Tuesday. A total of seven bilateral agreements are set to be signed during the second day of the Angolan committee's visit to the Chinese capital, with emphases on trade and infrastructure cooperation. Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos arrived on Monday for a week of bilateral talks with the aim of adding impetus to the relationships between Beijing and Luanda. The agreements are expected to focus on oil imports, strengthening of Chinese investment and also a more relaxed visa policy between the two countries. China, which is Angola's main economic partner, imported over half the African country's oil exports last year. Over 250,000 Chinese nationals currently live and work in Angola, many of whom work in the business, construction, property sectors.
