Representatives of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+ country members held a meeting in Vienna, on Saturday, to reach an agreement increasing oil production up to one billion barrels per day.
The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak underlined the importance "to restore the fulfillment of our agreement all together to the 100 percent level, as at the moment we are on the 150 percent level."
"As you heard from His Excellency during the press conference, the deliberation of OPEC chose to achieve this by simply bringing conformity back to 100 percent," confirmed Oil Minister of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih.
All 24 OPEC country members supported the decision to return to the 100 percent level of oil production.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 4.
