Thousands of people took to the streets of Athens, Friday, to rally against the proposed changes to Greece's pension and social security system, which is currently going through the Greek Parliament. Protesters marched towards Syntagma Square, where Greek Parliament is located, waving flags and holding banners of their organisations. Many had strong messages for Alexis Tsipras' government, considered as a 'traitor' by many of the participants. They also chanted slogans against the austerity measures demanded by Greece's international bailout creditors which were accepted by the Greek Prime Minister The demonstration was called by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and its union PAME, the newly created party Popular Unity Party - which comes from a split in ruling Syriza, Antarsya and numerous anarchists groups.
