Relatives of those on board the Kogalymavia (Metrojet) flight 7K9268 that crashed in Egypt's Sinai gathered at the Crown Plaza Hotel in St. Petersburg, Saturday, after Russian authorities organised their transfer there as further information on the details of the crash emerge. The relatives were also offered psychological support. The plane, operating under the flight number 7K9268, is reported to have crashed in Sinai around 23 minutes after taking off. There were a total of 224 people on board - 217 passengers, including 17 children, and seven crew members, with reports indicating that all but three passengers, who are purportedly Ukrainian, were Russian. Authorities transferred relatives to the temporary centre at the hotel from Pulkovo International Airport, where the flight was scheduled to land at 12.10 local time (09.10 GMT) after departing the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh at 06.51 Moscow time (03.51 GMT). Egyptian officials have announced that they do not believe anyone survived the crash.
