USA: World Cup winning women's football team receive hero's welcome in NYC

Thousands of people gathered on the streets of lower Manhattan on Friday to honour the US women's football team after they beat Japan 5-2 to win the Women's World Cup. All 23 players on the team attended the parade, rolling in on four floats. They received a warm welcome from thousands of fans taking photos and chanting "USA". Friday's festivities concluded with the team being honoured by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio in front of City Hall Plaza. This is the third consecutive win for the team on the World Cup stage and the first time a women's sports team was honoured with a parade in New York City.
