Iraq: Baghdad gas plant burns following deadly suicide attack

A suicide bomb attack killed at least 11 people and injured 21 others at a state-run cooking gas facility on the outskirts of Baghdad, Sunday morning.
According to reports, the attackers detonated a car bomb outside the factory gates at around 06:00 local time. This allowed six suicide bombers to gain access to the facility where they blew themselves up during clashes with police. They destroyed a number of gas storage facilities, sending massive fire balls and plumes of smoke into the sky.
The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) have claimed responsibility for the attack.
