Fouled Out: Cleveland Cavs Parody Domestic Violence With Ad

On Wednesday evening, during a playoff game against the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers ran a minute-long arena video that made violence against women the punchline in a terrible joke about being a committed fan of the franchise.
The skit starts off sweetly with a couple in a kitchen, their television tuned to a Cavaliers game.
When the corny theme song "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", from the film Dirty Dancing, plays on the radio, the couple starts to reenact the movie's famous final dance. That part is awkwardly charming.
Things take an unexpected and violent turn, though, when the male partner notices his significant other is wearing a Bulls t-shirt right as he's about to lift her in the air.
Instead of bringing her down safely, he throws her to the ground.
