Amtrak Train From Texas Collides With Truck Outside Chicago

An Amtrak train headed to Chicago from San Antonio slammed into a semitrailer on Friday at a crossing near the Illinois community of Wilmington. Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said, The train, the Texas Eagle, which left San Antonio on Thursday, hit the trailer of a truck that was obstructing the tracks at about 4 p.m.. Magliari said, None of the train's crew members or its 203 passengers were injured.
None of the cars of the train left the track as a result of the accident.
