A new exhibition that one of the founders admits to be "controversial" about is martyrdom is causing a stir as it includes culprits of the 9/11 and Paris and Brussels terror attacks, as shown by footage filmed on Friday in Copenhagen.
The exhibition is called 'Martyr Museum' and is inspired by a place of the same name in Tehran. Other people exhibited include Greek philosopher Socrates, US activist Martin Luther King and French heroine Joan of Arc. Some of the more controversial figures to feature are 9/11 suspect Mohammed Atta, Brussels attacks suicide bomber Ibrahim El Bakraoui and Bataclan bomber Omar Ismail Mostefai.
Henrik Grimback, one of the founders of the project, said they "have not appointed any of these martyrs, but the Catholic Church has, or ISIS has, or al-Qaeda, or different other organisations or religious groups."
However, he urged museum visitors to consider "the nuances and contextualisation" adding, "of course, someone will always say that someone else is heroic. It's a point of view and a standpoint."
The exhibition started on May 26 and will be open for visitors until June 10.
