Around 200 activists gathered in front of the German Chancellery in Berlin to protest against the visit of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, who was branded as 'criminal' by protesters, Wednesday. Activists waved Palestinian flags and held banners making reference to Netanyahu's statements exonerating Hitler for the holocaust. They also chanted slogans demanding freedom for Palestine, and tension rose at a certain point between protesters and police officers, who eventually arrested at least five people. Among the detainees was Dror Dayan, an Israeli Jew, arrested for allegedly inciting to anti-Semitism while holding a sign accusing the Benjamin Netanyahu of Holocaust denial. He was released later on, and he was charged with 'insulting a foreign head of state'. Another Palestinian activist was arrested as well, for holding a sign with the exact citation of Netanyahu on Hitler. She was accused of 'racial hatred incitement.’
