Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi discussed trade and bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit in Sochi on Wednesday.
Both leaders noted the positive dynamics of relations between Moscow and Cairo.
"Last year, we saw a 14 percent growth in trade, it reached $7.7 billion. We have major projects which we agreed on, meaning the nuclear power station and the industrial zone in Egypt," said Putin.
Sisi on his part invited Putin to take part in the opening ceremony of the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project.
The two-day Russia-Africa summit gathers together over 3,000 guests, including 44 presidents and prime ministers of African nations.
