A topless FEMEN activist disrupted a book presentation that Spanish Minister of the Interior Jorge Fernandez Diaz was attending in Madrid, Thursday, to protest against the so-called 'gag law' that was introduced by the government in December 2014. It was the second time that Fernandez Diaz had been targeted by FEMEN on Thursday over the 'gag law'. Earlier in the day a topless FEMEN activist approached the minister in the street and began screaming "democracy without gags" before she was detained by police. During the book presentation, the second FEMEN activist to protest against Fernandez Diaz shouted phrases such as "to protest is not illegal". She was also topless and had messages written across her chest that were critical of the gag law. Security immediately removed the FEMEN member and held her until the police arrived to take her away. The 'Citizen Security Law' introduced in December 2014 permits fines of up to €600,000 ($643,410) for serious violations during rallies, such as protesting outside government buildings or strategic installations. It also prohibits the photographing or filming of police officers, with those prosecuted potentially facing fines of up to €30,000 ($32,170).
