Tornadoes from the British Royal Air Force and F-18 fighter jets from the Finnish Air Force trained together on the third day of the the NATO 'Arctic Challenge Exercise 2015' (ACE 2015) military drills near the Norwegian city of Bodo, Wednesday. Paul Froome from the British Royal Air Force explained that it is a "big advantage" for his team to come to an "unusual" and "unfamiliar" airfield and operate with allies they don't routinely train with. At least 100 aircraft belonging to the Air Forces of the three Nordic countries are taking part in the ACE 2015, with additional aircraft provided by NATO member states such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The drills began on Monday, May 25 and will continue till Friday, June 5. In response to the 'Arctic Challenge Exercise 2015,' Russia launched its own sudden military drills on Tuesday.
